Safely operate a forklift to move stock to machine centers and manage finished goods in a production environment. Coordinate day-to-day shipping and receiving activities while maintaining organized staging and storage areas.
Requires a high school diploma or GED and at least 2 years of forklift experience in a production or distribution setting. Must be able to perform heavy lifting up to 100 pounds and possess strong mathematical and measurement skills.
What We’re Searching for:
Qualified Forklift Operator to assist coordinating the day-to-day activities in the shipping and receiving offices, including providing customer service to the truck drivers. Strong organizational, teamwork, and self-starter skills will lead you to success in this role.
How You Will Contribute:
Responsible for all activities associated with safely operating and caring for the Forklift. Ensuring work in progress (WIP) is undamaged, and the staging area is maintained organized. As well as consistently bringing correct size, board grade stacks to machine centers to be ran.
** PHYSICAL DEMANDS While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is required to sit for long periods of time. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is frequently exposed to hot and/or humid as well as cold conditions. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes, airborne particles, vibrations, louder than normal environments, and high paced atmosphere.
