The HR Advisor will provide expert advice on people-related matters for the Ambulance Operations portfolio and support managers in performance and employment relationship management. They will also work collaboratively with HR Business Partners to drive organizational change and enhance company culture.
The ideal candidate has 3-5 years of HR experience, preferably in a large, complex organization, with a solid understanding of New Zealand employment law. Strong communication skills, the ability to influence stakeholders, and experience in issues management are essential for this role.

From responding to 111 calls to supporting people to stay healthy through our mahi in health education, access, and monitoring, we are making life-changing differences every day.
As one of Hato Hone St John's HR Advisors, your role extends beyond the conventional scope of an HR Advisor working across a large complex organisation. In this interesting and impactful role you'll be part of our HR Business Partnering team, providing expert advice on a range of people-related matters for the Ambulance Operations portfolio.
We're not just looking for an HR professional, but someone who can become a trusted advisor navigating the complexities of employment relations and building strong relationships within the organisation.
We're looking for someone who brings confidence operating in complex environments and enjoys being part of a large, collaborative team. To be successful in this role, you will have:
You will be joining a collaborative and high trust work environment, with a great team culture and a manager who values trust, care and development.
You’ll also enjoy meaningful flexibility and balance — with minimum 2 days per week required in the offices based in the Justice Precinct, Christchurch or Ellerslie, Auckland.
