The position is responsible for processing incoming and outgoing mail, including scanning, indexing, and assigning documents to patient accounts in Epic. The role also involves maintaining the confidentiality of sensitive patient health and financial information.
Candidates must have at least one year of experience in a large-volume mail center. Experience with the Epic electronic medical record system and the Microsoft Office suite is preferred.
The primary responsibilities of this position will include, but are not limited to, opening, reviewing and scanning mail; accurate sorting, identifying, prioritizing, and indexing all incoming documents and correspondence, preparation of outgoing mail for pick-up. Scanning will include identifying the source and type of document, and appropriately assigning these documents to the correct patient account in Epic using the correct statuses. The position will have access to confidential information regarding patient health and financial status, as well as SHS audits requests and documentation.
