Coastal Health is seeking a friendly, organized, and professional Front Desk Associate to join our busy Coastal Injury Clinic. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys helping patients, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is committed to delivering outstanding customer service.
The Front Desk Associate is responsible for creating a positive patient experience from arrival to departure. This role serves as the first point of contact for patients and visitors and plays a key role in maintaining efficient front office operations.
Responsibilities
Welcome patients and visitors in a professional and compassionate manner
Check patients in and out accurately and efficiently
Verify patient information, insurance details, and required documentation
Schedule, confirm, and coordinate patient appointments
Answer incoming phone calls and assist with patient inquiries
Collect copays, balances, and process payments
Maintain accurate patient records within the electronic medical record (EMR) system
Coordinate with providers and clinical staff to ensure smooth patient flow
Assist with administrative and clerical tasks as needed
Maintain HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality standards
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required
Previous front desk, medical office, or customer service experience preferred
Experience in personal injury, chiropractic, orthopedic, or medical settings is a plus
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
Basic computer proficiency and EMR experience preferred
Professional appearance and positive attitude
