Position Summary Under the direction of a Registered Nurse (RN), the Patient Care Associate (PCA) supports the multidisciplinary healthcare team in providing safe, compassionate, and patient-centered care. PCA assists patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility support, while promoting comfort and maintaining patient dignity. Responsibilities also include monitoring and documenting vital signs, obtaining EKGs, drawing blood, and responding promptly to patient requests while safeguarding confidentiality and always ensuring patient safety.

Essential Functions • Performs vital signs, weights/heights, intake, and output measurements accurately and within established timeframes and/or as requested • Completes all required documentation in the medical record • Interact effectively with patients and families • Assists patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, feeding, and toileting • Assist patients with turning, repositioning, and transferring between bed and wheelchair as needed • Listen to patient concerns and reports changes or concerns to nursing staff promptly
