The LPN/OB Technician assists physicians and RNs with clinical and clerical duties, including preparing patients for obstetric surgical procedures. They also act as a scrub during Cesarean Sections and ensure the maintenance and supply of equipment in the OB unit.
Candidates must hold a current LPN license in the State of Ohio and possess BLS and Neonatal Resuscitation Program certifications. Previous experience in a clinical setting such as a Unit Clerk, STNA, Surgical Tech, or Medical Assistant is required.

We’re currently seeking a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse/OB Tech (LPN) to join our Obstetrics Department at our Galion location.
Assists the OB/GYN physicians and RNs in both clinical and clerical duties. Performs selected patient care tasks within the OB Unit under the direction of an RN including, but not limited to, preparing patients and equipment for special obstetric surgical procedures, assisting the obstetrical surgical team as a scrub during Cesarean Sections and other surgical procedures in the OB Unit, maintaining surgical and other equipment and ensuring adequate supply levels for the OB surgical room at all times. Gathers data, plans and implements the nursing care of patients within the nursing unit under the supervision of an RN. Responsible for ensuring continuity of care of the patients between shifts by providing direct care as well as assisting with the care given by nursing assistants and supportive staff members. Participates in patient and family teaching. Maintains role as patient advocate with a focus on the facility’s mission.
