The Wellness, Sports and Recreation Lead assists in managing wellness center operations, including personal training, fitness programming, and staff scheduling. They also provide direct member support, conduct fitness evaluations, and ensure a clean and safe environment for all facility users.

The Wellness, Sports and Recreation Lead will assist in managing all aspects of the Wellness Center, Sports and Recreation programming and/or leagues depending on branch needs.

This position is responsible for training and maintaining the schedule of wellness coaches.
Work Environment
This position operates in a typical fitness and gym center areas. The employee will spend time assisting the Healthy Living Director and wellness department.
Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a part-time (25-28 hrs/week) or full-time (40hrs/week) position based on branch needs. The center is open seven days a week, however this position’s hours will depend on the department’s needs including evenings and weekends.
Travel
No travel outside the Duluth area is expected for this position
