The Virtual Sitter remotely monitors high-risk patients using audio and video technology to prevent falls, self-harm, and other adverse events. They are responsible for communicating real-time concerns to bedside nursing staff and documenting observations according to policy.
A high school diploma or GED is required for this position. Prior experience in healthcare, patient observation, or the use of virtual monitoring systems is preferred.

Using audio/video technology, the Virtual Sitter continuously observes assigned patients and communicates concerns to bedside staff in real time to support patient safety and quality care.
Essential Job Duties:
Continuously monitor assigned patients through approved audio/video technology.
Observe and identify behaviors that place patients at risk for injury or adverse events.
Communicate immediately with nursing staff when intervention is required.
Document observations according to organizational policy.
Follow facility-specific workflows, escalation procedures, and safety protocols.
Maintain patient confidentiality and privacy at all times.
