At IHC, a Federally Qualified Health Center, we specialize in integrated care which means having access to essential services to meet the needs of patients we serve in the community. With ten healthcare centers, eight Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) nutrition program locations, a Mobile Health Unit, and in-house Pharmacy services (select locations), we offer primary medical, dental, and behavioral healthcare services to community-based patient populations throughout Indiana that are diverse in age, educational background, and income level.
IHC Kokomo is now recruiting for an Early Childhood Development Nurse (RN/LPN) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of exceptional patient-centered care and a passion for serving the local community. The successful applicant will be a collaborative team player with a demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. The Early Childhood Development (ECD) Nurse contributes to IHC’s mission by working across IHC sites to improve pediatric care coordination through the standardization of screenings, implementing the use of motivational interviewing, ensuring implementing SDOH screenings. They also educate staff to ensure that children and families are connected with local partners, including local WIC, Head Start, and Help Me Grow programs. The ECD Nurse works with the pediatric providers and other team members to achieve goals set by the ECD grant award. Preferred qualifications for the position include experience in pediatrics, vaccines, quality control, and education.
