The ER Tech assists with the implementation of supportive clinical care in a 48-bed emergency department. Responsibilities include performing EKGs, phlebotomy, IVs, patient transport, and various clerical and stocking duties.
Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED and completion of an approved EMT, nursing assistant, or medic program. A Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required, along with a relevant state license.
The Tech works in a 48 bed, full-service Emergency Department, treating all ages. This role assumes the responsibility for assisting with the implementation of supportive clinical care. This includes strong clinical skills, clerical/courier duties, stocking, transporting, performing EKG’s, phlebotomy, IV’s and specific patient care duties.
