Perform general maintenance duties throughout the facility, focusing primarily on drywall repair, painting, and groundskeeping. Ensure all equipment and facility systems, including plumbing and electrical, are properly maintained for resident comfort.
Candidates must have at least a 10th grade education and the ability to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 25 pounds. Strong communication skills and the ability to follow technical instructions and safety protocols are required.
The primary purpose of this position is to perform a variety of general maintenance duties throughout the facility, with a primary focus on drywall repair and painting.
This position has no supervisor responsibilities
Education and/or Experience
Must possess, as a minimum, a 10th grade education
Language Skills
Must possess the ability to make independent decisions, to follow instructions, and to accept constructive criticism.
Ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the general public.
Must maintain the care and use of supplies, equipment, etc., and maintain the appearance of maintenance work areas.
Ability to seek out new methods and principles and be willing to incorporate them into existing maintenance practices.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
