Candidates must have 7+ years of experience in sales within the digital media or news industry. They are required to have established relationships with key stakeholders in the Washington, D.C. advocacy landscape and a proven track record of hitting sales targets.

We are hiring a Director, Client Partnerships to join our growing advocacy and associations advertising team in DC and will report to the Head of Advocacy and Public Affairs.
Why it matters: In this role, you will work with new and existing partners to build Axios’ revenue through successful client partnerships, with a focus on building and nurturing relationships with advocacy organizations, non-profits, and policy-driven entities to expand Axios's impact in the advocacy sector.

Starting salary for this role is in the range of $95,000 - $105,000 and is dependent on numerous factors, including but not limited to location, work experience, and skills. This range does not include other compensation and benefits. Axios' compensation philosophy takes into account cost of labor differentials across the country. Because this is a remote-optional job posting, this salary range takes into account all possible locations within the United States, but candidates will only be eligible for the salary range for their location.
Note that the total compensation offered for this role includes incremental variable compensation based on sales territory, which is contingent upon the successful achievement of predetermined sales targets.
