If you want to build something meaningful, while enjoying the kind of flexibility and support that you need to do your best work — Ardent is where your next mission begins.
Ardent is seeking a Project Manager to join our team.
This is a hybrid position working onsite in Washington DC 1 - 2 days a week..
Position Description:
Ardent is seeking a skilled Project Manager to support geospatial information technology initiatives as part of a collaborative, mission-focused team environment.
This role is responsible for implementing geospatial solutions within a large team (5–10 members) and may also serve as a small team lead (3–4 members). The ideal candidate is proficient in managing small-to-medium work efforts using industry-standard methodologies, including Agile Scrum and Waterfall, while ensuring high-quality delivery of geospatial products and services.
The GIS Consultant / Project Manager will also provide tactical recommendations to government stakeholders to improve processes, enhance deliverables, and support better mission outcomes through effective use of geospatial technologies.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Implement geospatial information technology solutions as part of a large project team.
Serve as a small team lead overseeing 3–4 personnel, as needed.
Manage project tasks using Agile Scrum, Waterfall, or other industry-standard methodologies.
Coordinate planning, execution, and delivery of geospatial work efforts.
Provide tactical recommendations to government stakeholders to improve processes and outcomes.
Support development, analysis, and delivery of geospatial data products and services.
Collaborate with cross-functional technical teams to ensure successful project execution.
Track progress, manage deliverables, and support reporting requirements.
Contribute to continuous improvement of workflows, tools, and geospatial solutions.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree or Master's degree.

Experience implementing geospatial information systems (GIS) solutions in a project or enterprise environment.
Experience managing small technical teams or contributing as a technical lead.
Familiarity with Agile Scrum, Waterfall, or similar project management methodologies.
Strong understanding of GIS tools, geospatial data management, and mapping technologies.
Ability to provide recommendations for process improvement and operational efficiency.
Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
Due to the nature of the work we support, all candidates in consideration for this role must be willing to undergo the government issued background investigation process.
