Facilitate the resolution of employment disputes by helping parties understand perspectives and reach agreed solutions under the Employment Relations Act. Manage a diverse caseload involving employees, employers, and unions through in-person, online, or phone-based mediation.
Requires a strong understanding of New Zealand employment legislation and proven experience in mediation or dispute resolution. Candidates must possess excellent communication skills, the ability to remain impartial in high-conflict situations, and the legal right to work in New Zealand.

As a Mediator, you'll play a vital role in helping people resolve their employment disputes and support constructive employment relationships. Each day brings a new opportunity to make a difference in people's lives.
Working under the Employment Relations Act, you'll facilitate conversations that allow people to have their voice heard, better understand each other, explore options, and work towards an agreed solution. This may involve meeting with people together or separately, either in person, online, or over the phone.
Few mediation roles offer the breadth of experience available in our Dispute Resolution team. You'll develop through a diverse range of employment disputes, from individual workplace disputes to learning large-scale collectives and industrial action. You’ll work with employees, employers, businesses, unions, representatives and advocates. This variety provides outstanding opportunities to develop your skills and broaden your experience across the full employment relations landscape.
We're looking for someone who enjoys working with people and remains calm and impartial in complex or high-conflict situations. You'll be skilled at building trust, creating a safe environment for discussion, and supporting people from diverse backgrounds through a fair and accessible process.
