We are replacing that infrastructure with an AI-powered platform that integrates banking, investing, spend management, and automated workflows into a single source of truth.

We are hiring our first Business Development Representative to help grow Edwin’s footprint across local government. This is a chance to join an early-stage, mission-driven startup at the top of the funnel and shape how cities, counties, and special districts discover a financial platform built for them.
As Edwin’s first dedicated BDR, you will be on the front lines of our go-to-market motion: identifying prospects, running thoughtful outreach, and setting up conversations with finance directors, treasurers, and city leaders. You will work directly with our GTM Lead and founders, learning how to run a world-class sales process and how to use AI as a force-multiplier in your daily work. We will help you use AI for prospecting, research, and automation so you grow both as a seller and as a modern operator.
Own top of funnel. Build and work targeted prospect lists of cities, counties, and special districts, and turn them into qualified conversations for the team.
Run thoughtful outreach. Write and send personalized email, calls, and LinkedIn sequences that speak to the real problems municipal finance teams face.
Book qualified meetings. Set up and confirm discovery calls with finance directors, treasurers, and decision makers, and hand them off cleanly to the GTM Lead.
Use AI as a multiplier. Lean on AI tools for research, account mapping, list building, and message drafting so you cover more ground than a traditional rep.
Keep the pipeline clean. Track every touch and outcome in the CRM, and report on what is working so we can sharpen the motion together.
Learn the gov-fintech buyer. Develop a real understanding of how local governments evaluate and buy software, and feed that insight back to the team.
Spent 1 to 3 years in a BDR, SDR, or similar top-of-funnel sales role, ideally at an early-stage B2B or SaaS company.
Consistently hit or beaten meeting and pipeline targets through your own outbound effort.
Written outreach that gets replies because it is specific, human, and useful rather than templated.
Stayed organized and disciplined across a high volume of accounts and touches.
Shown a bias toward action and a genuine curiosity about the customers you sell to.
Worked in the United States with authorization that does not require sponsorship.
Sold into government, the public sector, or other complex, multi-stakeholder buyers.
Experience in fintech, payments, or financial software.
Used AI tools day to day to research accounts, build lists, or draft outreach.
Comfort being the first dedicated BDR and helping build the playbook from scratch.
Base salary: $75,000.
Commission: $30,000 at full attainment, paid on qualified meetings, pipeline, and closed deals ($105,000 OTE).
Equity: early-stage grant offered day 1.
