The Kitchen Steward maintains high standards of sanitation and cleanliness in all food service and dining areas while adhering to health department guidelines. They also assist with light food preparation, meal delivery, and the proper operation of kitchen equipment.
Candidates must be able to work rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays in a fast-paced hospital environment. A work permit is required for applicants under 18 years of age, and adherence to safety and chemical handling procedures is mandatory.
This position works varied shifts to assist with coverage between 6:30am-9pm. Rotating weekends and holidays are required in this role.
Purpose:
Maintains standards of housekeeping and sanitation in production, service, dining, and storage areas. Maintains department in an inspection-ready condition in accordance with Health Department guidelines.
Responsibilities:
Work permit required if under 18 years old.
