Senior Director, Transformation
This role can be located near one of the following locations: Denver, CO; Malvern, PA; Nashville, TN.
DaVita is a rapidly growing Healthcare Services company driven by the unwavering pursuit of a healthier tomorrow. As a key driver to enable our vision and financial/operating performance, our Revenue Cycle team serves as trusted patient advocates and world-class revenue partners in order to reduce burden and maximize yield.
About the Role
DaVita is seeking a transformational technology and product leader to drive the modernization of one of our most critical enterprise capabilities—Revenue Operations (ROPS). This executive will lead product strategy and business transformation for the proprietary platforms that power billing, collections, cash posting, and other core revenue cycle functions that are essential to DaVita's financial performance.
This role sits at the intersection of business strategy, technology modernization, and organizational change. The Senior Director will shape the long-term vision for a portfolio of internal platforms while leading a large-scale transformation of legacy technologies into a modern, cloud-based ecosystem leveraging Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Palantir Foundry, advanced analytics, automation, and AI-powered capabilities.
As a trusted partner to both business and technology leadership, this individual will serve as the critical bridge between Revenue Operations leaders and DaVita's IT product, engineering, architecture, data, and platform teams. They will translate business strategy into technology roadmaps, ensure investment decisions are aligned to measurable value, and drive enterprise adoption of modern ways of working.
This leader will oversee a multi-year transformation effort impacting thousands of teammates, billions of dollars in annual revenue cycle activity, and the platforms that enable one of the largest healthcare revenue cycle organizations in the country.
Key Responsibilities
Technology Transformation & Product Strategy
Define and execute the strategic vision and roadmap for DaVita's core Revenue Operations technology ecosystem.
Lead the modernization of proprietary revenue cycle applications supporting billing, collections, cash posting, reimbursement, and financial operations.
Partner with IT architecture and engineering leadership to guide a multi-year migration of legacy applications and data assets to Google Cloud Platform and modern cloud-native architectures.
Influence enterprise technology investment decisions, balancing innovation, operational efficiency, scalability, security, and business value.
Develop platform strategies that leverage Palantir Foundry, advanced analytics, AI, automation, APIs, and modern data architectures to improve performance and decision-making.
Establish product operating models and governance processes that align business priorities with technology execution.
AI, Automation & Digital Innovation
Identify and champion opportunities to embed Generative AI, Agentic AI, machine learning, workflow automation, and intelligent decision-support capabilities throughout the revenue cycle.
Partner with engineering, architecture, data science, and AI teams to bring scalable AI-enabled solutions into production.
Drive innovation focused on reducing manual effort, accelerating cash flow, improving teammate productivity, and optimizing revenue cycle outcomes.
Establish roadmaps for AI-enabled copilots, intelligent workflows, automated exception management, predictive analytics, and next-generation operational capabilities.
Ensure responsible AI implementation with appropriate governance, risk management, compliance, and measurable business outcomes.
Business & Technology Partnership Leadership
Serve as the primary strategic liaison between Revenue Operations leaders and DaVita IT.
Translate complex business challenges into actionable product and technology strategies.
Build strong partnerships with senior leaders across Operations, Finance, Technology, Data, Analytics, Architecture, Compliance, and Product organizations.
Facilitate alignment across business and technical stakeholders on priorities, roadmap sequencing, investment tradeoffs, and transformation objectives.
Represent revenue cycle business needs in enterprise technology planning and architecture discussions.
Team Leadership & Talent Development
Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team of product leaders, analysts, and transformation professionals.
Build organizational capabilities in product management, business transformation, process modernization, and technology strategy.
Create an environment that encourages collaboration, accountability, innovation, and customer-centric thinking.
Business Outcomes & Value Realization
Define success metrics and value realization frameworks for major transformation investments.
Monitor platform adoption, operational efficiency, financial performance, user experience, and technology health.
Drive measurable improvements in collection performance, time-to-cash, automation rates, productivity, scalability, and operational effectiveness.
Communicate transformation progress and business outcomes to executive stakeholders.
Qualifications
Required
Bachelor's degree in Business, Technology, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
12+ years of progressive leadership experience spanning product management, digital transformation, technology strategy, consulting, enterprise platforms, or business technology leadership.
Proven success leading large-scale technology modernization or cloud transformation initiatives.
Experience partnering closely with software engineering, enterprise architecture, data, and platform teams.
Demonstrated ability to lead complex cross-functional programs involving both business and technology stakeholders.
Experience driving organizational change management and enterprise-wide adoption of new technologies.
Strong executive communication and stakeholder management skills.
Track record of delivering measurable business outcomes through technology investment and process transformation.
Preferred
Experience in healthcare revenue cycle, healthcare technology, fintech, payments, financial operations, or large-scale transaction processing environments.
Experience leading cloud migration initiatives, particularly Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
Experience with Palantir Foundry, enterprise data platforms, advanced analytics, or digital operating models.
Experience leveraging Generative AI, Agentic AI, intelligent automation, machine learning, or workflow orchestration technologies in enterprise environments.
