Help maintain payroll compliance frameworks, procedures, policies and standard operating documentation.
Monitor legislative and regulatory changes and support the implementation of payroll compliance updates.
Perform data validation and reconciliation activities to ensure payroll information remains accurate and reliable across payroll systems.
Prepare compliance reporting and support stakeholders with payroll compliance enquiries and issues.
Work collaboratively with Payroll, People & Culture, Finance and Digital & Technology teams to support compliance initiatives and continuous improvement projects.
Contribute to testing and validation activities associated with payroll system enhancements and updates.
What makes a difference for us?
We're looking for someone who combines strong attention to detail with a passion for process improvement and compliance excellence.
To be successful, you will ideally bring:
Experience in payroll operations, payroll administration or compliance support roles.
An understanding of Australian payroll legislation, including taxation, superannuation and employment standards.
Experience working with payroll systems such as Aurion and/or Chris21.
Strong analytical skills and an ability to identify inconsistencies, risks and opportunities for improvement.
Excellent written communication and documentation skills.
A collaborative approach and the ability to work effectively with a range of stakeholders.
Ability to satisfy the relevant pre-employment probity checks, including a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check, Right to Work in Australia verification and qualification check where applicable.
Highly regarded:
Experience in dealing with payment or processing of Workers Compensation Payments and Q Leave processing
Qualifications in Payroll, Human Resources, Finance or Business
Experience in shared services, complex organisations or multi-customer environments
Exposure to compliance frameworks, audit activities or governance processes.
