Full job description

Your Role as our Aged Care Volunteer Visitors Scheme (ACVVS) Coordinator

As an ACVVS Coordinator, you’ll bring people together by connecting caring volunteers with older Australians experiencing social isolation. Supporting the full volunteer journey—from recruitment to meaningful matching—you’ll help create lasting, positive relationships. Working closely with volunteers and partners, you’ll ensure every connection is supported, impactful, and delivered with care.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Provide day-to-day guidance, support, and administrative assistance to volunteers, ensuring they feel valued, confident, and well-equipped to deliver quality support.

  • Manage a caseload of volunteers and older people, coordinating timely, thoughtful matches that foster meaningful and lasting connections.

  • Ensure all program activities are delivered in line with ACVVS National Guidelines, Aged Care Quality Standards, and WMQ requirements.

  • Support volunteer recruitment through community outreach and engagement activities, helping attract a diverse and committed volunteer base.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, ensuring data integrity, confidentiality, and compliance across all systems and documentation.

  • Coordinate volunteer onboarding, including security checks, inductions, and training, to ensure all requirements are completed and volunteers are well-prepared.

  • Build strong relationships with aged care providers and stakeholders, while gathering feedback to monitor program impact and continually improve the volunteer and recipient experience.

This is a fixed-term position until 30/06/2031.

What We Offer

  • Community-Focused Team Culture: Be part of a passionate team that values connection, collaboration, and making a genuine difference in people’s lives every day.

  • Salary Packaging: As a not‑for‑profit employer, we offer generous salary packaging benefits that help maximise your take‑home pay. You can package up to $15,900 each year on everyday living expenses and up to $2,650 on meals and entertainment reducing your taxable income and giving you more in your pocket.

  • Flexibility and Balance: Life is full of demands, and we understand that everyone’s situation is different. Where practicable, we offer a range of flexible work options to help you achieve the balance that works for you.

  • Career Advancement Opportunities:  We provide ample career advancement opportunities at WMQ, offering diverse pathways for growth and professional development.

  • Free and Secure Car Parking:  No more paid parking! Employees can enjoy complimentary access to secure parking, ensuring the safety of their vehicles while at work

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience supporting volunteers or teams, ideally within community services or aged care.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and deliver training or presentations.

  • Well-developed organisational skills, including meeting KPIs and working within a regulated environment.

  • High attention to detail in data management and record-keeping, with a genuine passion for supporting older Australians.

A Valuable Addition, Yet Not a Must-Have!

  • Strong understanding of the Aged Care Volunteer Visitors Scheme (ACVVS) or similar federally funded community-based social support programs.

  • Tertiary qualifications, diploma, or relevant experience in Community Services, Human Services, Social Science, or a related field.

  • Experience using CRM databases and the ACVVS portal (or similar government reporting platforms) for data management and reporting.

Essential Requirements

  • Proof of COVID-19 vaccination status (or as required by legislation and WMQ policy)

  • Relevant probity checks required by legislation and WMQ Limited policy.

  • Current Driver’s Licence and willingness to travel for work
