Our commitment to preventing and ending veteran homelessness starts with a holistic approach of providing intervention and prevention services, including housing, mental health and career programs, and wraparound services to promote recovery, wellness and a more hopeful future. With 49 residential and service sites nationwide, U.S.VETS is uniquely positioned to help veterans and their families successfully transition to civilian life. We provide services to over 20,000 veterans and families a year, helping them with housing, mental health and substance use treatment programs, hot meals and full-time employment. These struggling veterans represent the sons, daughters, mothers, fathers, brothers and sisters who bravely defended our nation, protecting the freedoms we enjoy today. We share both the pride and problems of our military servicemen and women and believe we have an obligation to help and serve those who have served us. Because of this, we are committed to helping veterans in need. A generation of veterans returning from deployments in Iraq and Afghanistan will face new challenges as they navigate their post-military lives and careers adjusting back to a civilian world. Many experience post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) or major depression and anxiety. Some suffer with traumatic brain injury sustained during deployment. The need for support for our nation’s veterans will only continue to increase. Learn how you can help.
