The Patient Financial Advocate screens hospital patients for eligibility for state, county, and federal assistance programs. They are responsible for initiating applications bedside, documenting results in hospital systems, and maintaining relationships with medical staff.
A high school diploma is required, and 1-3 years of experience in medical coding, billing, or eligibility is preferred. Candidates must have basic computer skills and reliable transportation for onsite and field visits.
