Full job description
SLSCO, Ltd., one of the premier Regional General Contractors (RGC) and a long-standing disaster recovery firm in the nation, is seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality in-home energy efficiency, audit compliance and ensuring quality control for our HOMES and HEAR programs.
This program offers no-cost home energy audits that help customers identify opportunities to reduce energy use and utility costs through energy-efficient upgrades, such as heat pumps, electric appliances, and insulation. By leveraging advanced software tools and expert recommendations—and covering a significant portion of project costs while offering additional rebates for high-impact energy savings—the program makes it more affordable for homeowners to improve comfort, efficiency, and overall energy performance.
As a customer-focused field superintendent proficient in BPI standards and related certifications, your primary responsibility will be to monitor and oversee the installation and renovation of the energy-efficient measures. This includes all areas of the home—such as foundations, basements, crawlspaces, and mechanical systems—to ensure proper installation and operation. Depending on program needs and workload, you may also support the broader field auditing team.
Your responsibilities will include accurately documenting and verifying installed equipment, which involves photographing installations and confirming that systems are functioning as intended. When inspections identify deficiencies or non-compliance issues, you will collaborate closely with subcontractors and the program team to define, track, and verify that appropriate corrective actions are implemented.
The ideal candidate will have experience in energy auditing, building science, home inspections, or related fields, along with established relationships within housing, rebate/incentive programs, weatherization, and community development. Strong leadership skills, a focus on team building and customer service, and knowledge of relevant standards and practices—particularly BPI certifications—are essential. Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities will set you apart.
Your oversight will extend to residential weatherization, HVAC, and water heating installation inspections as you review QA/QC findings to ensure program integrity. Working with trade partners to identify and implement effective solutions based on audit findings and client feedback will be key to your success. Additionally, you will collaborate cross-functionally with various teams to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of the program’s solutions.
The Construction Superintendent will be responsible for specific projects assigned to them. They will work with subcontractors to deliver completed projects back to the program within budget and on schedule. This position will ensure the complete execution of scopes of work that meet the program’s quality standards and will pass final inspection.

Familiarity with diagnostic tools for program compliance, such as blower doors, combustion analyzers, and infrared cameras to assess air leakage and energy performance.
Utilize provided software to input field-verified data for energy-saving improvements.
Perform installation inspections to verify completion and effectiveness of energy upgrades.
