Responsible for the safe operation of isotope production cyclotrons, target stations, and nuclear ventilation systems. The role also involves performing maintenance, repairs, and safety surveys to ensure equipment reliability.
Requires a degree or diploma in engineering technology (mechanical, electrical, mechatronics, robotics) or a related science/engineering field. At least one year of experience in operations or electro-mechanical systems is required, along with legal authorization to work in Canada.

The Cyclotron Operator is responsible for the safe operation of ATG’s isotope production cyclotrons and target stations. They also participate in maintenance, repair activities as well as projects.
All our Operators works a rotating shift schedule.
The ATG Cyclotron Operator’s principal responsibilities are:
The incumbent will be required to complete the TRIUMF in-house radiation safety training course and be designated as a TRIUMF Nuclear Energy Worker.
Applicants must be legally able to work in Canada on a permanent basis (Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident).
The position offers a starting salary of $56,494.00 per annum, complemented by a comprehensive benefits package. The salary for the position will increase to $59,925 per annum upon successful completion of a 6-8month training program.
