About AlignOps
AlignOps is a rapidly growing technology provider that serves the construction industry. We are made up of individuals who share a common commitment to innovation, creativity, integrity, and delivery beyond our customers’ expectations.
AlignOps delivers operational tools to scale and grow the construction business. With powerful solutions configurable to meet our customers' unique needs, Align Technologies powers construction operations to increase productivity, improve safety, and deliver more profitable projects. As a technology partner, we transform operational data into a strategic asset that provides the visibility and control to make informed decisions that yield tangible results.
We seek talented individuals who thrive in a dynamic, challenging, and rewarding work environment and emulate humility, drive, transparency, and customer service in everything they do.
Job Description
The Solutions Engineer (SE) I plays a key role in supporting both internal teams and customers throughout the sales, implementation, and renewal phases. Acting as a bridge between Sales, Implementation, and Client Success, the SE will partner with Account Executives (AEs) during the pre-sale phase to assess client needs and validate technical solutions.
Post-sale, the SE provides expertise to the Implementation and Client Success teams to ensure smooth deployment and long-term success. This role requires strong technical acumen, problem-solving abilities, and client engagement skills to design, document, and support solutions that align with client objectives and the capabilities of our platform.
Responsibilities
During the Sales Process:
Support Account Executives in technical discovery sessions to assess the client’s existing systems, technical environment, and business processes.
Design and validate data flow and integration architectures that align with the client's tech stack requirements and support their business objectives.
Conduct analysis to identify the root cause of operational issues, analyzing system limitations, process inefficiencies, and cultural barriers to adoption. Use this analysis to collaborate with Account Executives and implementation teams on key strengths and weaknesses in each deal to optimize client success.
Provide detailed technical documentation of advanced product solutions and data flow designs to assist Account Executives in advancing opportunities through the sales cycle.
Navigate and influence technical deals by collaborating with the client’s technical teams and Account Executives to validate proposed product solutions, ensuring feasibility and alignment with client infrastructure.
Assist in pilot tests and simulations to confirm solution functionality and address any identified issues before finalizing recommendations.
Collaborate with Sales and Implementation to refine technical adjustments and prepare a smooth handoff to the Implementation team.
During Implementation:
Lead the Sales-to-Implementation knowledge transfer, providing the deep technical context and detailed documentation necessary to eliminate implementation friction and accelerate client time-to-value.
Participate in internal handover meetings to ensure alignment on client requirements and validate product solutions and data flow designs.
Serve as a technical advisor for the Implementation team, providing guidance and resolving technical challenges when needed.
Finalize engagement once the implementation team confirms the client’s system is fully operational and aligned with client expectations.
Post-Sale Client Success:
Partner with Client Success Managers (CSMs) to identify technical challenges impacting client retention, renewal, or upsell opportunities.
Consult in technical discovery sessions with existing clients to understand evolving business needs and potential for product expansion.
Collaborate with CSMs to develop and present integration or product usage enhancements that improve client workflows and optimize product utilization.
Provide technical guidance and documentation to CSMs in renewal conversations and upsell opportunities to ensure overall client satisfaction.
Act as a technical liaison for complex client escalations, offering resolutions that align with AlignOps’ business goals and foster client loyalty.
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Experience in data architecture and system integrations, with a proven track record of designing and implementing scalable solutions.
Proven ability to analyze and diagnose complex technical and operational challenges, including system limitations, process inefficiencies, and organizational factors.
Experience as a technical resource for sales and implementation teams, establishing best practices for seamless handoffs and execution.
Experience mentoring peers and leading cross-functional technical decision-making.
Strong understanding of cloud computing trends, integration frameworks, and open-source business models, with hands-on experience leveraging these technologies to drive business outcomes in real-world applications.
Experience leading technical discussions confidently across diverse stakeholders, including Product Managers, Developers, Engineers, and Executives, ensuring clear communication and alignment across teams.
Creative problem solver with a history of developing reusable frameworks or innovative workarounds for complex system integrations
Excellent presentation and demonstration abilities, with experience engaging both technical and non-technical audiences at all levels, from individual contributors to C-suite executives.
Skilled in conducting discovery sessions and asking insightful and thoughtful questions to uncover client needs, concerns, and objectives.
Able to synthesize client feedback, restate concerns for clarification, and articulate solutions that directly align with client workflows and business goals.
Demonstrated ability to independently manage complex technical engagements with minimal oversight.
