Overview
Kimley-Horn has an opportunity for a motivated Senior Project Manager, Practice Builder to help expand and lead our Power Delivery practice in Orlando, Florida!
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will lead a practice specializing in Power Delivery (transmission, substation, and/or power studies) engineering services.
This individual will have an entrepreneurial spirit and create a vision for growth for a Power Delivery practice while growing their own projects, clients and team around them.
Coordinate or direct development, energy assessment, engineering, or construction activities to ensure that wind project needs and objectives are met.
Leadership responsibilities include:
Operating with integrity and sound business principles
Providing vision, business planning and strategy
Establishing goals
Building and maintaining positive client relationships
Having open communication with your partners and team
Growing and leading a power delivery practice
Our Project Managers/Practice Builders manage their projects profitably, transition work to qualified staff, grow and mentor staff, and act as a positive leader and mentor.
The successful candidate will be given a great deal of autonomy to lead, direct, and grow their business.
With success, this individual will enjoy the rewards of an impressive bonus program with the potential to advance to ownership.
Qualifications
8+ years of relevant experience managing power delivery or related projects
Registered Professional Engineer (P.E.) license
Familiar with the relevant standards, regulations, and best practices for power delivery projects
Client contacts and relationships
Strong technical skills in AutoCAD Civil3D, Excel, and/or GIS
Business development and marketing experience including writing proposals, scopes of work, and budgeting for projected work
Ability to effectively communicate positively at all levels of the organization
Ability to manage & mentor staff, and direct resources effectively in a positive manner
Demonstrated ability to manage power delivery projects profitably
