Primary Purpose This position conducts advanced analyses, develops design alternatives for executive pay programs, and prepares high‑impact materials for senior leadership and the board. Interprets regulatory requirements and ensures that compensation programs and disclosures remain accurate, compliant, and aligned with organizational objectives.
Duties and Responsibilities
Conducts sophisticated market analyses, including customized peer evaluations and detailed comparisons of compensation for senior executive roles.
Designs and models alternative structures for short‑term and long‑term incentive programs, evaluating performance measures, payout structures, and potential business outcomes.
Develops key narrative elements and data exhibits for the annual Compensation Discussion and Analysis section of the proxy statement.
Leads preparation of pay‑and‑performance analyses that illustrate how compensation outcomes correspond to financial and shareholder results.
Evaluates the long‑term health of equity plans, modeling share requirements, estimated future usage, and grant sizing strategies.
Interprets changes in United States securities and tax regulations that affect compensation programs and advises partners on required adjustments.
Supports major executive events—such as new appointments and separations—by preparing detailed cost models and comprehensive compensation summaries.
Produces committee‑ready materials with minimal oversight, ensuring findings are accurate, clear, and actionable.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education
Typically requires a 4 year degree in a relevant field, or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
Experience
Typically requires 5 years of related experience.
Must reside in Southern California or be willing to relocate upon hire.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Ability to interpret multiple sources of market intelligence and propose data-supported recommendations.
Ability to work independently in solving complex problems involving data reconciliation or modeling assumptions.
Knowledge of executive compensation plan design principles, including short- and long-term incentive design and equity usage fundamentals.
Knowledge of relevant regulatory frameworks, including SEC disclosure tables and related reporting implications.
Skill in advanced spreadsheet modeling to evaluate potential payout scenarios and illustrate performance sensitivities.
Skill in building consensus by explaining sensitive findings in a manner that supports informed decision-making.
Skill in drafting components of compensation committee materials with clear narrative rationale.
