Full job description
About Modo Energy
The energy transition is the biggest infrastructure buildout in human history. Modo Energy is the data platform at the centre of it.
We build the benchmarking, forecasting, and valuation tools that the world's most serious energy investors, developers, and operators depend on to make decisions. If a battery gets financed, built, or traded anywhere in the world, there's a good chance Modo data was in the room.
Founded in 2019, we're 90+ people across London, New York, Sydney, and Madrid; $30M Series B, AI-native, and moving fast.
This is a rare chance to join a category-defining company at the moment it's scaling globally.
The Role
We're hiring a Growth Associate for our Content Marketing team to help more people discover Modo Energy's research - and to prove it's working.
This is a generalist role. You'll work directly with the Head of Content Marketing and do whatever it takes to get our power market expertise in front of the right people and bring them into the platform - whether that's building social media campaigns, weekly newsletters, getting a GEO-optimised article live, scheduling a campaign for a new market, getting an analyst or the founder onto the right podcast, or figuring out which content is actually driving signups and doubling down on it. The scope of this role will grow as we do - what it looks like in year two may look very different from day one.
This is a content marketing role - it sits in the content team, not product marketing. Where product marketing focuses on the product itself, you'll focus on turning our expertise into things people read, watch, and subscribe to, and on proving it brings the right people in. A big part of the job is measurement and content operations.
We turn deep market research - power price forecasts, battery and solar revenues out to 2050, benchmarks, regulation - into content the market can use. You'll help set the standard for how we do that consistently, and build the setup that tells us what's working. We're building the muscle of attribution from a standing start, and we want to be best-in-class: sharp, data-driven, and ahead of the industry in how we reach our audience.
That means having real opinions about what good looks like and the drive to execute on them. We care about taste. If something looks or sounds wrong, say so.
And if you're excited about the energy transition, you'll fit right in. Modo Energy exists to help capital flow more efficiently into clean energy infrastructure - and understanding how power markets actually work is a big part of the job. If that sounds interesting rather than intimidating, that's a good sign.
What You'll Do
Keep the content engine running - build and own the content calendar, make sure articles, emails, and campaigns ship on time and go out at the right moment for maximum impact
Set up and run attribution - use HubSpot, Fullstory, and Intercom to know what content is actually driving new visitors, signups, and usage
Report weekly, iterate fast, and make sure every decision we make is grounded in what's actually working
Help produce and scale our core formats - GEO articles, newsletters and other email comms, content videos - and take the ones that work beyond the US into Europe and Australia
Segment users, leads, and audience in HubSpot so the right content reaches the right people
Run employee visibility (inc. CEO/founder) - social presence, podcast bookings, press/trade-press outreach (earned media), and marketing the analysts behind the insights
Build AI and Cowork workflows to automate the repetitive parts and help us move faster
What We're Looking For
The Essentials
You've shipped something independently - a project, a campaign, a newsletter, anything you took from idea to live
Hands-on experience with HubSpot (or an equivalent) for measurement and attribution - you'll bring this, not learn it from scratch
You're comfortable with data and marketing ops - you'd rather build a clean attribution setup than guess
An engineering or analytical mindset - you think in systems and would rather automate something than do it manually twice
Strong writing - clear, direct, and aimed at the right person
You use AI as a core part of how you work - not just chatbots, but building workflows, automating tasks, and using agents to get things done faster
Curious and resourceful - you figure things out without being told how
Taste and judgement - you know good from bad and you'll say so
Nice To Have
Comfortable with design or video tools - Figma, Premiere Pro, Canva, or similar
Some experience with growth or marketing campaigns
Some exposure to PR or communications
An interest in energy, climate, or the transition to clean power
Degree in an analytical field - economics, engineering, maths, physics, or similar (we care more about how you think than what you studied)
Compensation & Equal Opportunity
Base salary range: $80,000–$120,000 per year, depending on experience.
The salary range listed reflects industry benchmarks for this role. Modo Energy's policy is to pay top of personal market - if you're exceptional, we'll make it work.
25 days annual leave, medical, dental and vision coverage, and 401(k) with optional employer matching
Modo Energy is an equal opportunity employer - employment decisions are made on the basis of qualifications, merit, and business need. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, colour, religion, national origin, sex, age, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, pregnancy, veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by federal, New York State, or New York City law
For assistance or a reasonable accommodation during the application or interview process, contact us at [email protected]
What You Can Expect From Us
At Modo Energy, we believe that exceptional work deserves exceptional reward. We're a high-performance team; ambitious, collaborative, and genuinely motivated by the scale of what we're trying to build.
You'll have real ownership from day one, work alongside some of the brightest people in the industry, and be part of a company that's defining a new category in the global energy market. We're hybrid: everyone works Tuesday to Thursday in office, with Monday and Friday flexible. We offer top-of-market compensation, equity for every employee, and the space to take your career wherever you want it to go.
We're looking for people who want to do the best work of their careers. If that's you, we want to talk.
