Full job description
The Opportunity.
We're hiring professionals with 1-3 years of experience who are excited to apply their analytical and problem-solving skills in consulting. Whether you've spent your first few years in consulting or building experience in industry, we're looking for curious, driven people ready to solve complex operational challenges. We have upcoming cohort start dates in November, February, May, and August.
This position involves analyzing complex operational and financial data, engaging with client teams to develop performance measurements and analytical tools, and coaching client teams to implement lasting solutions. If you're eager to solve complex problems, have already built a foundation of hands-on experience, and want to make a meaningful impact, this could be a great opportunity for you.
Who we are.
This is an exciting time to join the Isaac Team. We've been around for over 20 years and have built a reputation for solving the most challenging front-line operational and financial problems that some of today's most important industries face. Loving your Monday to Friday is important to us. We've been recognized as one of the Best Places to Work in Canada in Professional Services for the last 8 consecutive years, which we know has something to do with our culture of rewarding great work with great experiences, fostering rapid career growth, and sharing the success of the business with the whole team.
Who are you.
You have 1-3 years of experience in a relevant field and are ready to bring that expertise to a fast-paced consulting environment
You have the drive and energy to achieve results
You have exceptional listening, verbal and written communication skills
You thrive in a team environment and effectively collaborate with others
You have an analytical mind with a natural technical problem-solving ability
You have exceptional interpersonal skills to explain ideas and concepts clearly
You have the ability and confidence to implement change
You are excited to travel to client sites near and far
More than anything, you avoid the status quo and want to get the best out of your career and your life!
What you'll do.
You'll contribute in 3 important ways:
Analysis - Work on-site to understand performance issues and causes of lost time on the production line, analyze historic production, waste and/or financial data
Engage with client teams - prepare client presentations, develop performance measurements and other analytical tools
Implement the solution - train and coach the client team on the new strategic approach
Life at Isaac.
This is not a desk job. As a consultant you will be working with all levels of a business from the shop floor to the boardroom on a daily basis. You will be owning and managing your own initiatives and outcomes. Spending your time on the front line with a welder, machine operator or technician will help you fully understand the problems that they face. You'll roll up your sleeves, run trials, and observe the problems first-hand. This will give you the insight, credibility, and confidence you need to set the direction in the boardroom. Your technical, problem-solving ability will allow you to tackle complex problems, implement change, and ensure improvement is seen on the financial bottom line. We find this approach much more effective and enjoyable than simply writing reports.
We push ourselves, in all aspects of our lives. You'll continue to take on significant responsibility, and your existing experience means you'll be able to hit the ground running. You will be challenged beyond your comfort zone, but we'll be there to support you - every step of the way. We value work-life balance, and part of this is a rule that we don't work on weekends. As of 6pm on Friday, your only job is to make the most of the weekend.
Why work for us.
We offer competitive pay with a clear path to partner
We offer support for your relocation expenses
We offer a Future Fund Bonus (2% of your total compensation) to invest in whatever matters most to you
You can enjoy 25 days paid vacation
You'll do really meaningful work that makes a strong impact for our clients
You'll have the opportunity for continued learning and accelerated career growth with our training and development programs
You'll work with amazing people who genuinely love to spend time together
You'll get to partake in really fun company sponsored activities & trips
We love to make the most out of our weekends, and that's why we have a rule that we don't work during them
We offer a health stipend and comprehensive benefits package

The application process.
We believe in full transparency, always. Here's what you can expect at each step of the application process for this position:
Submit your resume and provide your written answers to some pre-screening questions (approx. 20 mins)
Once you submit your online application, you will be asked to complete several aptitude tests: a numerical assessment (15 mins), and a cognitive and personality assessment (45 mins)
Next, you will be asked to complete a video interview so we can get to know you better! (10-15 mins)
From there, you will meet with an Isaac leader for a conversation to check for mutual fit (15 mins)
If you are successful, you will be invited to an in person Selection Day, which is a fun day where you'll be meeting fellow candidates and other Isaacs, have an opportunity to participate in an in person interview, some workshopping and group activities, and get to know Isaac better!
If all goes well, you can expect an offer from us shortly after Selection Day.

Isaac Operations Limited (formerly Newton North America) works hands-on with organizations in North America and around the world to help them get more out of their operational processes and supply chains. Our people are talented engineers, not management consultants, so we’re able to identify issues that limit cost, delivery and quality performance, and then implement practical solutions that rapidly generate measurable, sustainable financial returns – from the ground up.
From our roots in manufacturing, Isaac applies a unique engineering-based approach across a wide range of industry sectors, working in areas as diverse as aerospace, automotive, defence, food & drink and healthcare.
With a track record of delivering 10-50% operational improvement in two to six months without any capital expenditure, we are paid on our performance, not the number of reports we generate.
Isaac is the intelligent way to unlock the potential within your business.
