The pharmacy technician focuses on medication delivery, inventory management, and basic patient and provider service. Responsibilities include preparing and labeling medications, maintaining pharmacy records, and assisting with the onboarding of new personnel.
A High School Diploma or GED is required, along with registration as a Pharmacy Technician Trainee, Technician, or Intern with the Pennsylvania State Board of Pharmacy. Certification from the PTCB or NHA must be obtained within two years of hire.
