What you will have an opportunity to do:
The Hilton University of Florida Conference Center is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Public Space Attendant to help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for guests and team members. This role is essential in upholding the hotel’s cleanliness standards across public areas and guest floors while supporting the housekeeping team.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain cleanliness of assigned public areas, including high dusting, vacuuming, and general upkeep
Clean and polish elevator doors, tracks, hallway lighting, and windows
Remove marks from walls and maintain lobby appearance
Service and clean common spaces
Monitor cleanliness and condition of equipment; report maintenance or safety concerns promptly
Identify and report hazards such as spills, broken items, or suspicious activity
Follow all safety protocols, including Bloodborne Pathogens procedures
Provide courteous and helpful service to guests and support fellow team members
Qualifications:
Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience preferred
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and perform physical tasks, including lifting and pushing
Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness standards
Ability to communicate effectively and follow basic instructions
Professional, neat appearance and positive attitude
Ability to read room numbers, dates, and standard instructions
Additional Responsibilities:
Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors
Offer suggestions for process improvements when appropriate
