Since the initial opening, Douglas J has gone through 50 years of growth, expansion and evolution. We now have 9 locations between our Institutes and Salons. We offer a complete menu of services in hair design and color, skin care, nail therapy, and massage therapy. Our foundation and values remain the same; we consistently focus on delivering our guests the high-end experience they deserve.

At Douglas J, we're looking for an Admissions Coordinator who can guide prospective students through the school tour, enrollment, and student orientation process.

Douglas J Companies include high-end cosmetology schools, luxury salons, and a med spa. When Douglas Weaver began cutting hair in the mid-1960s, his vision for a salon was based on three simple principles: providing unbeatable services to guests, creating career opportunities for aspiring professionals in the salon industry, and giving back to the communities that supported his vision. More than 50 years later, Douglas J Institutes and Salons have become staples in communities throughout Michigan and Tennessee. In 2024, Douglas J Institutes acquired the College of Hair Design in Lincoln, Nebraska. The brand continues to look for expansion opportunities throughout the Midwest and beyond.
