The Restaurant Host is responsible for greeting and seating customers while maintaining a professional and welcoming environment. They also manage reservations via OpenTable, monitor server performance, and ensure the dining area remains organized and clean.
Candidates should possess excellent communication and customer service skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. A high school diploma or GED is preferred, and the role requires physical stamina for standing, bending, and lifting up to 35 pounds.

YOU WILL BE:
The Restaurant Host serves Neiman Marcus customers in a warm, accommodating, and professional manner by greeting and seating customers.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
• Maintains presence at host stand / door to professionally and graciously greet and seat customers
• Monitors server performance to ensure smooth service during the customers’ dining experience
• Observes proper telephone etiquette
• Handles reservations through OpenTable platform (including VIPs) and any additional inquiries regarding hours of operation, specials, events, etc.
• Organizes reservations, maximizes seating during operating hours, and optimizes staffing and customer traffic
• Adheres to established accounting procedures for all transactions, including all authorized methods of payment and maintains knowledge of the POS system
• Keeps flow of service to standards (e.g., proper seating of customers to each wait station)
• Participates in daily pre-shift meetings
• Fulfills duties that may involve lifting objects (e.g., tables, chairs, highchairs, etc.)
• Maintains cleanliness and presentability of all menus and menu covers
• Maintains the highest level of hygiene standards to include, but not limited to:
• Clean, pressed uniform jacket and accompanying clothing and shoes
• Clean and professionally styled hair and nails, maintained to avoid food contamination risks
• Adheres to posted work schedule and follows established procedures for schedule and shift changes
