The lifeguard is responsible for supervising swimmers to ensure safety and enforcing pool conduct rules. They also perform pool maintenance, manage safety equipment, and assist with swimming lessons.
Candidates must be at least 16 years old and hold current American Red Cross certifications in Lifeguarding, First Aid, CPR, and AED. Proficiency in swimming and the ability to perform physically demanding rescues are required.
