The Family Resource Specialist serves as the primary point of contact for participants, managing daily operations and providing information on programs and resources. This role also involves maintaining inventory, entering participant data, and supporting the center's behavioral health, early learning, and family support services.
Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent and 1-2 years of experience in social or human services working with children and families. A valid driver's license with a favorable driving record is also required.

This role will perform a variety of tasks related to the daily operation of the FRC. Has access to protected healthcare information (PHI) or confidential identifiable information (CII), both paper and electronic, as necessary, to perform related job duties and responsibilities.

Hybrid work is a benefit of Akin’s flexible workplace but cannot be offered for all positions. Some positions require daily presence in the office. Hybrid work arrangements may be adjusted or rescinded based upon business needs.
Due to the need to be client facing, Family Resource Specialists working at a Family Resource Center are 100% in-person and are not eligible for hybrid work. The position also requires occasional evening and weekend work to support events, deadlines, or operational needs.

The target starting pay for this position is $23.69 - $27.84 per hour, typically within the first half of these ranges. Actual offers will be based on individual qualifications relevant to the role and will not take an applicant’s pay history into account.
The range above allows our employees room for growth during their tenure in the position.
