The Buyer/Planner coordinates material flow through the production cycle and develops supply plans to ensure on-time delivery. They also resolve inventory and production issues while implementing lean strategies to optimize inventory turnover.
Candidates must have a bachelor's degree in Supply Chain or a related field and at least 2 years of experience in planning and lean inventory management. Proficiency in Excel and the ability to solve complex inventory problems are essential.
About the Job
As a Buyer/Planner you will coordinate the flow of materials through the complete production cycle. Support customer on-time delivery by developing production/supply plans based on demand forecasts, availability of materials, and manufacturing capacity. Define and maintain appropriate planning parameters in ERP systems to optimize subassembly production and raw material supply plans. Evaluate and analyze data regarding processes and systems. Resolve problems with inventory, production schedules, or materials shortages and implement countermeasures to avoid future problems. Establish a balance between supply and customer demand to optimize inventory turnover.
