Full job description
Brunswick’s work in Healthcare and Life Sciences
Brunswick advises organisations operating across the Healthcare and Life Sciences sector on the political, regulatory and reputational issues that shape their ability to succeed. We bring together deep sector knowledge with a clear understanding of the priorities and pressures facing policymakers, patients, healthcare providers, innovators and investors across the EU and globally.
Our work ranges from shaping policy positions and engagement strategies to building coalitions, mobilising stakeholders and strengthening external advocacy. We also support disease awareness campaigns, issues management and media engagement, helping organisations communicate complex scientific, policy and business challenges with clarity and credibility.
We work with organisations across the healthcare ecosystem, from pharmaceutical, biotechnology and medtech companies to healthcare providers, research institutions and investors. Our team brings together public affairs and strategic communications expertise with backgrounds in healthcare policy, science, finance and journalism.
Opportunity
We are seeking a talented consultant with 2 to 4 years' experience to join our Brussels office in Autumn 2026. The role offers the opportunity to work on a varied portfolio of Healthcare and Life Sciences assignments, contributing to research, analysis, client materials, stakeholder engagement and the delivery of public affairs and communications programmes. You will work alongside healthcare specialists and colleagues from across Brunswick’s public affairs, strategic communications, crisis and digital teams.
Your work could range from supporting an innovative biotechnology company as it builds its profile with European audiences to helping an international life sciences organisation understand and respond to policy and regulatory developments. Across these assignments, you will contribute thoughtful analysis, clear writing and practical support, while developing your understanding of the sector and the issues shaping it.
We are looking for a motivated and collaborative colleague with a genuine interest in Healthcare and Life Sciences and a good working knowledge of the sector's policy and market environment. You should be intellectually curious, comfortable engaging with complex topics and keen to deepen your understanding over time. Strong judgement, attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality work will be essential, as will the ability to contribute effectively within a collaborative, client-focused team.
About the Role
As a Consultant at Brunswick, you will be at the forefront of our client engagements, playing a pivotal role in delivering impactful advisory services. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
Deliver insightful analysis on media, political, regulatory, and market developments, with clear recommendations for clients.
Draft, edit, and manage client documents, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
Coordinate workstreams and support colleagues in delivering seamless client service.
Build understanding across different sectors and specialist areas.
Help organise client meetings and events, ensuring flawless execution.
Develop networks with peers and stakeholders to strengthen your expertise.
Contribute to brainstorming and pitch preparation (including research and drafting).
Think on a strategic and tactical level about client issues and account development.
What We're Looking For
At Brunswick, we seek smart and curious individuals dedicated to learning and growth. We value potential, strong work ethic, and excellent written and verbal communication skills. Standout candidates demonstrate:
2–4 years’ relevant experience, ideally gained in a public affairs and communications agency, or in-house within the public affairs/government relations function of a corporate organisation.
Solid knowledge of business issues and current EU and global debates; with a strong grasp of key trends, debates and stakeholders.
Expertise and understanding of the Healthcare and Life Sciences sector and how it works as well as of the policy environment in which our clients and stakeholders operate.
A strong understanding of the interplay between business, media, and politics, and a genuine interest in how these dynamics shape our clients’ businesses.
Excellent research and writing skills, with the ability to distil complex information into clear, compelling analysis for business audiences.
Proven project management abilities, with the ability to oversee multiple fast-moving workstreams and delivering under pressure.
Ideal candidate
A proactive self-starter with a strong work ethic, intellectual curiosity and attention to detail.
A collaborative team player who thrives in a supportive, collegiate environment.
A rising advisor with a growing professional network and experience counselling clients on business-critical issues.
Why Join Us
At Brunswick, you’ll join a collaborative, international team based in the heart of the EU. Our Brussels office, as the central hub of our pan-European Public Affairs, Regulatory and Geopolitical practice, works across diverse sectors on high-stakes global issues, offering constant exposure to senior clients and high-profile events. We invest in training and mentorship to help you grow as an advisor, while fostering a culture that is entrepreneurial, collegiate, and supportive.
Benefits: Hospitalisation and Dental insurance. Employee assistance program. Pension insurance. Group Life Assurance. Commuter Benefits. Meal Vouchers. Paid Time Off: 25 vacation days. Career training and development opportunities.
Annual discretionary bonus contingent upon individual and firm-wide performance.
Applications close on Monday 24th August.
