The Fire Alarm Technician is responsible for performing code-compliant testing, inspections, and repairs of fire alarm systems and life safety components. They assess risks and propose solutions in compliance with ULC, NFC, and NFPA regulatory requirements while coordinating with stakeholders.
Candidates must have a college diploma in Fire Protection or equivalent and a Canadian Fire Alarm Association (CFAA) certification. A valid driver's license is required, and experience in a commercial environment is considered an asset.

The Fire Alarm Technician will report to the Regional Operations Manager. In this role, the Fire Alarm Technician will be responsible for completing code-compliant testing and inspections. Additionally, assessing risks, reporting, and proposing possible solutions on topics related to fire prevention in compliance with the ULC, NFC, NFPA and other regulatory requirements. They will liaise between building occupants, facility managers, and various stakeholders with BGIS.
This role will work in collaboration with all key BGIS departments to ensure full support of all activities and play a key role in our INTEGRATED approach to operating buildings.
