About the Job:
Kent is looking for an Engineer – Project Controls to be based in India.
Skills and Responsibilities
Co-ordination and management of Project Controls including basic and detail planning, and scheduling of the Project (including the development and production of detailed plans/schedules for FEED Design, Basic Design, Detail Design &Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Pre-commissioning, and Commissioning of the project through to successful completion using current planning techniques and tools).
Support management reporting and decision making.
Probability analysis for the project completion.
Help interface with all disciplines, subcontractors, and client representatives at a senior level regarding planning coordination and integration.
Participate in developing a Logic Network Schedule applying Primavera and implement effective planning and progress measurement process, providing management with recommendations, and the tools, to aid decision making and reporting.
Participate in the development of the project Work Breakdown Structure.
Participate in critical path reviews, assessments, and mitigations once per month after schedule and progress status updates.
Interface with Cost, Cash flow and Forecasting.
Identify the schedule risks and re-baseline, if necessary.
Participate in kick-offs, IAP sessions and ongoing meetings on the projects to ensure common understanding of project controls requirements.
Monitoring & controlling of project budget.
Participate in project close-out activities.
Administer the project change control process and communicate implication of changes in project schedule. Support the overall Change Management process.
Support in preparation of Weekly and Monthly Project Report, Backlog analysis, Ageing analysis for internal stakeholders and client.
Assist with as-building deliverables In addition to the responsibilities listed herein, the employee may be required to perform other ad-hoc tasks as needed or directed by the supervisor or management. These tasks will be within the reasonable scope of the employee's skills, capabilities, and role within the organization. The intent of this provision is to allow for flexibility and adaptability in meeting the dynamic needs of the organization, ensuring that operational requirements can be met efficiently. All such tasks will be assigned considering the employee's current workload and with respect to their professional development.
Your knowledge/skills, education, and experience:
Degree in Engineering (preferably Chemical or Mechanical) from Indian University (UGC approved) or from Overseas University. Professional Certification is an added advantage.
Communication:
Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
Ability to articulate technical challenges and progress effectively.
Proficiency in remote collaboration tools and practices.
Behavior/ Core Competencies:
Knowledge of Project-Planning is a must.
Computer Applications: Windows Operating systems.
Software- Knowledge of Primavera P6 is a must.
Working as per the Quality and Safety requirement & Standards.
Cultural sensitivity and ability to work in a global, multicultural environment.
Flexibility in working hours to accommodate different time zones.
