About the Position
As a Electrical Designer in the BESS group, you will be responsible for working with multi-disciplinary teams to primarily perform utility-scale solar BESS engineering design in a manner that provides the client with a quality deliverable that is on time and within budget.
The salary range above is based upon the Denver, Colorado labor market.
Essential Responsibilities
Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to perform electrical engineering design for utility-scale BESS projects. Perform detailed design and prepare drawings per project & client requirements. Specify and/or review equipment and components required for BESS electrical systems. Provide support during procurement, construction and commissioning phases of BESS projects. Ensure that all projects adhere to relevant industry standards, regulations, codes and best-practices. Conduct technical reviews of BESS projects to ensure quality deliverables are produced. Support BESS team by producing department standards and best-practices. Participate in project meetings and provide regular progress reports to stakeholders. Maintains high ethical and professional standards within the overall organization. Engaged in lifelong learning to maintain knowledge of contemporary issues. Attend safety training and follow safety rules and guidelines. Other responsibilities as assigned.
Must Have
Education: Degree in electrical engineering technology or related experience preferred. Experience: 3+ years of engineering design or other relevant experience. Physical design experience required. Proficiency with AutoCAD required. Strong knowledge of electrical power systems required. Possesses effective written and oral communications skills. Assists with client contacts and communication pertaining to specific assignments and meetings. Must possess strong technical verbal and technical writing skills and be able to read technical literature and engineering plans. Must demonstrate two-way communication to effectively work with internal staff and external clients. A strong written and verbal command of the English language. Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Knowledge of renewable energy, and battery storage systems preferred.
