The Facilities Technician leads the installation of construction and capital expenditure projects at store locations while providing mentorship to other technicians. They are also responsible for executing property maintenance, ensuring safety compliance, and maintaining accurate project documentation.
Candidates must have a High School Diploma or GED and at least 3 years of experience in construction. A valid driver's license and DOT medical card are required, with preference given to those with field supervisory experience and relevant trade certifications.
Lead the installation of equipment and labor for cap-ex projects, rollouts, and any construction maintenance service desk request for existing Sheetz Store locations.
1. Lead the installation of all construction maintenance, rollout material, and cap-ex materials at Sheetz Store locations.
2. Provide mentorship and direction to technicians on site.
3. Ensure and execute all safety regulations are followed per federal, state, local, and Sheetz requirements.
4. Participate in training recently hired technicians, ensuring installation of construction equipment follows established guidelines and requirements.
5. Be able to read, write, and follow instructions, such as blueprints, floor plans, wiring diagrams.
6. Complete accurate paperwork, including work orders, labor hours, warranty cards, equipment transfers, new store checklist, DOT logs, post trip vehicle inspections forms, and weekly transaction logs for procurement cards.
7. Drive the development of our crews through communication with outside vendors with specific to company values, visions, & policies.
8. Prepare and present progress of jobs on a regular basis.
9. Complete all assigned work in a timely, efficient manner according to company standards.
10. Coordinate and execute exterior property maintenance services, including parking lot cleaning, truck-mounted power washing operations, building exterior cleaning, parking lot line painting, and other projects to maintain a safe, clean, and professional store appearance as required.

Education
• High School Diploma/GED required
• Technical/Trade/Sheetz training required
Experience
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in construction required.
• Previous field supervisory experience preferred.
Licenses/Certifications (Ability to attain required licenses within one year of acceptance).
• Valid Driver’s License required.
• Valid DOT medical card required.
• EPA certifications – license I and II preferred
• CPR/First Aid preferred.
