The designer will work in a project team to prepare comprehensive substation drawings, including general arrangements, electrical plans, and grounding details. Additional duties involve incorporating vendor information into designs and performing site walkdowns to ensure compliance with client standards.
Candidates must have a minimum of 12 years of substation physical design experience and proficiency in AutoCAD or MicroStation. An Associate’s Degree in Drafting or equivalent technical experience is required, along with the ability to visualize 3D components.
As a Substation Physical Designer, you will be working in a project team environment with engineers and other designers involved in high and extra high voltage substation design. Responsibilities will include the preparation of the following substation drawings:
