Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED and 1-2 years of experience in commissioning, construction, or maintenance of power systems. Proficiency in reading electrical schematics and strong troubleshooting skills are required.

How You Will Make an Impact:
The Commissioning Technician I supports the commissioning of natural gas generation fleets, battery energy storage systems (BESS), power distribution, and balance of plant equipment, bringing new power systems from construction to reliable operation. Working under the direction of senior technicians, this role supports engine startups, fuel gas and cooling system checks, load bank testing, functional testing, and energization, and documents results, punch list items, and deficiencies. Safety discipline and careful documentation are central to the role, which is the entry point into the Atlas commissioning career path.
