You're excited to join the Finance, Technology and Commercial Division's Leadership team, putting people at the heart of everything you do and taking pride in the impact of your work.

 

 

Lead the Divisional Management Office in a Chief of Staff capacity for Transport's Finance, Technology and Commercial Division, providing strategic support to the Deputy Secretary / Group Chief Financial Officer and the Divisions Executive Leadership Team.

 

 

In this role you’ll:

 

  • Provide high-level strategic and operational support to the Deputy Secretary / Group CFO, making critical judgment calls to triage priorities and manage competing demands on their time and attention
  • Exercise strategic discretion in managing the Deputy Secretary / Group CFO agenda, filtering issues, escalating key matters and making real-time decisions on resource allocation and stakeholder engagement
  • Foster cross-functional collaboration with key stakeholders including the Secretary's office, divisions and agencies within the Transport Portfolio
  • Manage critical relationships and deliverables with external stakeholders including Ministers' offices and other government departments, ensuring seamless coordination and timely responses to ministerial and whole of government priorities
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to streamline processes and enhance operational efficiency across the division's management functions
  • Lead and mentor a high-performing team of executive administrative support professionals across the division

About You:

 

A highly skilled strategic leader with proven ability to operate as a trusted Chief of Staff to senior executives in fast-paced environments. You excel at triaging competing priorities, providing high-level advice, and making judgment calls that enable the Deputy Secretary / Group CFO to focus on strategic priorities.

 

You’re proactive and approachable with a strong track record in business planning, performance monitoring, governance and strategic implementation. With exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, you provide high-level advice and insights to senior executives, ensuring they are well-informed and prepared to address key organisational challenges.

 

You’re an inspirational leader experienced in managing and mentoring executive support teams while driving high-performance culture. Experience in Finance, Technology or Commercial environments will be highly regarded, as will understanding of the unique operational requirements of these business-critical functions. Tertiary qualifications or equivalent senior-level industry experience essential.
