As a Publishing Virtual Assistant, you will support authors, publishing entrepreneurs, and small indie publishers throughout the self-publishing lifecycle. From formatting manuscripts to launching book promotions, your tenacity and organizational skills will help authors bring their work to life and into the hands of readers around the world.
About your client:
You'll be working alongside a 6-figure self-published author who manages a publishing brand. With thousands of loyal readers and new releases each month, they need someone dependable, detail-driven, and proactive to keep their publishing operations running smoothly.
Your Responsibilities:
-Oversee the progress of multiple ongoing client book projects (100+ active at any time) -Track timelines and key milestones to ensure projects remain on schedule -Proactively identify delays or bottlenecks and escalate issues to the appropriate team/department -Ensure all team members (ghostwriters, editors, designers, etc.) are aligned on client timelines -Maintain accurate project data and records across Basecamp and Google Sheets -Organize and help consolidate scattered information into one central "source of truth
