Onbaording & Training Coordinator
Hospitality Starts Here:
Welcome to The Indigo Road Hospitality Group (IRHG), where hospitality is more than a job; it's a family, a lifestyle, and an exciting journey. We believe that by taking care of you, you'll best take care of our guests. It's working. In addition to generous benefits and job openings across 30+ locations, we have internal growth opportunities for everyone who wants it. But most of all, we have heart!
Why Us:
Founded in 2009 by Steve Palmer, IRHG sets itself apart in the industry by fostering an environment where our people come first. We want to meet you. Come join us in our mission to change the hospitality industry, forever.
The Role:
At The Indigo Road Hospitality Group, we believe our people are the foundation of everything we do. Investing in their growth, education, and success is how we stay true to our purpose: to make people feel seen, valued, and cared for. We’re looking for a highly organized, detail-oriented, and people-driven Onboarding & Training Coordinator to help bring our training programs to life.
As the Onboarding & Training Coordinator, you'll support training logistics across restaurant openings, company-wide leadership development, and ongoing education classes, working closely with our Director of Training, Director of Operations, and Director of Culture. You’ll be the backbone of our training operations—organizing calendars, prepping materials, coordinating communications, and ensuring every training program runs smoothly. The Onboarding & Training Coordinator will support both behind-the-scenes administration and on-the-ground facilitation of training efforts across the company.
What we will ask of you:
Lead onboarding training sessions helping to train and communicate all standards with new leaders and administrators.
Assist in the completion of hourly onboarding for all current and new locations.
Train and supervise team members on onboarding process.
Act as a key point of communication to help ensure alignment, organization, and follow-through throughout the onboarding process.
Create and distribute announcements to welcome new managers to the company and for recent manager promotions.
Retain historical HR records by filing and keeping past and current records in Paylocity.
Participate in weekly HR Department meeting.
Maintain compliance with federal, state and local employment laws and regulations.
Assist with various HR tasks and projects as needed.
Coordinate all logistics for onsite training refreshers, and "Train the Trainer" programs
Maintain training calendars for company-wide initiatives, including onboarding, leadership development, and continued education
Distribute training outlines and manuals to managers prior to sessions
Organize class materials, track attendance, and follow up with participants and instructors
Schedule and facilitate bi-monthly foundational leadership classes at the Charleston home office, including managing room bookings, calendars, binders, lunch, and supplies
Send out individualized class schedules for attendees and keep team rosters updated
Follow up with on-site teams to ensure training programs are maintained and up-to-date
Organize weekly virtual training sessions, sending reminders, managing calendar invites, and tracking attendance
Proofread and maintain accurate training documents and materials with a sharp eye for detail
Assist in organizing travel logistics for in-person trainings and coordinate with the executive assistant for communication across teams
Requirements for Success:
2+ years in hospitality or administrative support preferred
Based in Charleston, SC and available to work from the home office
Ability to travel for all new location openings.
Experience with Microsoft Office
Familiarity with Open Table or restaurant operations
High attention to detail and organization
Someone looking for a growth opportunity in hospitality, especially in training, people development, or HR
Naturally organized and dependable—you know how to follow up, follow through, and manage timelines
Must be able to work in a fast paced, growing company culture environment.
Strong verbal and written communicator witha passion for proofreading and accuracy
Comfortable working independently but excited to be part of a collaborative team
Able to take direction well and execute with precision
Flexible to work nights and weekends when necessary, based on business and staffing needs.
.
Benefits:
Competitive Compensation: Competitive base pay and PTO benefits after 90 days.
Health & Wellness: Comprehensive health insurance coverage, including medical, dental, vision, and more.
Financial Planning: Access to a 401K plan with a 50% match on your first 6% investment, along with Roth options.
Home Loan Program: We offer a zero-interest housing loan program to help you achieve your dream of home ownership.
Employee Discounts: Enjoy discounts at our 15 restaurant concepts and growing boutique hotels division.
Family Time: Benefit from 4 weeks of PTO for maternity/paternity leave.
