The Laboratory Technician is responsible for operating laboratory equipment to prepare, process, and store blood components while maintaining accurate data records. They must ensure all products meet quality, volume, and labeling standards while adhering to safety and quarantine procedures.
This position requires a high school diploma or GED and the ability to perform physical tasks such as standing for long periods and lifting up to 50 lbs. Candidates must possess strong attention to detail, basic keyboarding skills, and the ability to work flexible shifts including weekends.

Your impact as a Laboratory Technician is vital. Support Vitalant's life-saving mission by operating within the laboratory handling responsibilities that include component production, labeling, record reviewing and data entry.
High School graduate or GED required.
No experience required.
Must be able to stand for long periods of time, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs.
Must be detail oriented and possess strong communication, organization, and analytical skills.
Must be able to maintain donor, patient and employee confidentiality.
Must possess basic keyboarding skills and the ability to handle and operate laboratory equipment.
Must be able to work flexible shifts and overtime when necessary.
