Join us as we shape the future of AI and beyond.Together, we advance your career.
THE ROLE:
As a member of the S3 Sustaining Product Development team, you will own product yield, quality, and manufacturing performance for key products in high-volume production while supporting new product introductions and future production ramps. You will work closely with Design, Test, Quality, Reliability, Manufacturing, and Operations teams to drive yield improvement, resolve technical issues, and ensure successful product execution throughout the product lifecycle.
This role offers a unique opportunity to influence both sustaining and emerging product portfolios through yield analysis, silicon characterization, manufacturing readiness assessments, and cross-functional technical leadership. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in supporting future product ramps while helping drive engineering excellence through automation, data analytics, and AI-assisted solutions that improve productivity and decision making.
THE PERSON:
You are a highly motivated and technically strong engineer who enjoys solving challenging problems and delivering measurable results. You are comfortable taking ownership of product performance, making data-driven decisions, and operating in a fast-paced manufacturing environment to improve yield, quality, and operational efficiency.
You combine strong technical depth with effective communication and stakeholder management skills, enabling you to drive alignment and solutions across multiple functional teams. You are passionate about continuous improvement, eager to leverage automation and AI technologies, and motivated by the opportunity to make a broad impact on product success, customer satisfaction, and business results.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Own yield, quality, and manufacturing performance for sustaining products in high-volume production, driving continuous improvements in yield, DPPM, and operational efficiency.
Drive yield improvement initiatives through data analysis, statistical methods, and systematic debug of SORT, Final Test (FT), and System-Level Test (SLT) yield limiters.
Lead manufacturing and quality excursion investigations, including production disposition, containment actions, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and customer risk assessments.
Communicate yield performance, quality trends, recovery plans, and risk assessments to management and key stakeholders.
Lead or support silicon characterization activities to establish product operating limits, production guardbands, and manufacturing readiness for new product introductions.
Define product boundaries and specifications using characterization, reliability, manufacturing, and customer requirements.
Provide technical assessments and disposition recommendations for production, quality, and customer-impact issues.
Collaborate with Design, Test, Quality, Reliability, Manufacturing, and Operations teams to resolve product and production challenges.
Support new product introduction and production ramp activities through characterization review, yield analysis, process qualification, and manufacturing readiness assessments.
Develop and leverage automation, scripting, and AI-assisted solutions to improve engineering productivity, yield monitoring, reporting, issue tracking, and knowledge management.
Act as the technical lead for assigned products, providing guidance and mentorship to engineers while driving continuous improvement and operational excellence.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
8+ years of experience in semiconductor product development, product engineering, yield engineering, or high-volume manufacturing support.
Demonstrated technical leadership with experience mentoring engineers and leading cross-functional technical initiatives.
Proven experience supporting products through yield ramp, high-volume manufacturing, excursion management, production disposition, and risk assessment.
Strong expertise in yield analysis, statistical modeling, DOE, correlation studies, guardband optimization, and data-driven decision making.
Proven experience defining, executing, and analyzing silicon characterization plans to establish product operating limits, specifications, and production guardbands.
Experience leading quality improvement initiatives, DPPM reduction programs, and customer-impact assessments through systematic root cause analysis and corrective actions.
Strong analytical skills and proficiency with engineering data analysis tools such as Excel, JMP, Python, SQL, Power BI, or equivalent platforms.
Strong scripting and automation skills for engineering data analysis, reporting, dashboarding, and workflow optimization.
Deep understanding of semiconductor test methodologies and DFT features including SCAN, MBIST, JTAG, and CREST.
Demonstrated expertise in yield engineering across SORT, Final Test (FT), and System-Level Test (SLT).
Proven ability to work across Design, Test, Quality, Reliability, Manufacturing, and Operations teams to drive issue resolution and product improvement.
Experience presenting technical findings, yield strategies, and risk assessments to senior management and cross-functional stakeholders.
Proven ability to leverage AI-assisted tools to accelerate engineering analysis, automate repetitive workflows, improve documentation quality, and enhance decision-making efficiency.
Experience developing, customizing, or deploying AI agents, automation workflows, and intelligent assistants to improve engineering productivity, yield monitoring, issue tracking, reporting, or knowledge management.
Demonstrated curiosity and adoption of emerging AI technologies to drive continuous improvement and operational excellence.
ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:
BS/MS in Computer or Electrical and Electronics Engineering
