Ensure compliance with federal, state, local, and Navy environmental regulations regarding hazardous materials and waste. Manage the collection, storage, transportation preparation, and disposal of HAZMAT to protect personnel and the environment.
Requires a high school diploma and at least two years of experience in handling and disposing of hazardous materials. Candidates must have working knowledge of environmental regulations and the physical ability to move heavy containers in industrial settings.

Position Summary: The HAZMAT Technician is responsible for ensuring compliance with all federal, state, local count and Navy environmental regulations related to hazardous material (HAZMAT) and hazardous waste (HAZWASTE). This position helps protect personnel, the community and the environment by ensuring the proper handling, storage, collection, transportation preparation and disposal of hazardous material and waste.
Pay Rate for this position is $51.42 with additional Health and Welfare which is determined by the contract requirements and/or the union CBA.
