Mission:Seton Home works to break the cycle of abuse and poverty by providing a caring home, education, and support services necessary to transform the lives of pregnant and parenting teen mothers and their children.
Summary:
The Lead Clinician (LPC-supervisor/LCSW-supervisor) will be responsible overseeing the clinical services provided at Seton Home, to include but not limited to: individual, family, and group therapy. The Lead Clinician will conduct and oversee assessments and is responsible for the development and implementation of therapeutic treatment plans. The Lead Clinician will offer recommendations for client’s permanency planning. The Lead Clinician is directly supervised by the Program Director or designee and is subject to work overtime and be on-call for clients and staff. Maintains necessary client records, provides liaison with referral sources and providers. The clinician will assist in discharge planning and other duties as assigned. The clinician will follow all Seton Home policies regarding reporting abuse and neglect.
Position Responsibilities:
· Actively participating in case staffings and stakeholder meetings and following up with recommendations;
· Compiling, preparing, submitting and maintaining accurate records, files, forms, statistics and additional information in accordance with agency policy, DFPS Minimum Standards and ORR Policy;
· Ensuring mental health services are completed within required timeframes and in accordance with agency policy, TDFPS Minimum Standards and ORR Policy;
· Reviewing and approving assessments and progress notes for UAC;
· Completing and submitting reports within required timeframes;
· Train new clinical staff;
· Conduct intake interviews and assess client mental health as needed;
Prepare goal-oriented treatment plans, diagnostic assessments, service plans, and progress reports;
Facilitate client groups on specific issues as needed;
Provide case consultations and/or crisis interventions;
Maintain therapeutic services within Seton Home and funding source guidelines;
Maintain confidentiality in all areas of client and program operations;
Maintain professional and ethical standards as prescribed by Seton Home Program and the professional code of ethics;
Role model a professional demeanor at all times;
Comply with the agency and program policy and procedure manual;
Comply with all Licensing standards as well as funding source guidelines;
Obtaining professional certificates;
Attend and participate in all required professional training, workshops and or continuing education;
Conduct and coordinate client assessments and recommendations for client permanency plan;
Conduct counseling sessions with clients as needed;
Maintain communication with case managers on a consistent basis;
Develop and implement client tracking and status reports for monthly review/audit of clinical department;
Complete outcomes for residents at time of discharge or at 40 days;
Complete measurements;
Close out client files;
Review PSA with residents and staff;
Attend weekly treatment meetings to maintain current information and support;
Identify clinical program needs and develop/facilitate staff trainings within the Trauma Informed Care model;
Facilitate and track TIC Chats with direct care staff;
Assume ON CALL duties after regular business hours, including nights and weekends and holidays;
Complete Measurements and Outcomes on Extended Reach;
Assist with auditing case files/ORR Portal;
Assist with ratio as necessary;
Must be sensitive to the service population’s cultural and socioeconomic characteristics.
Adhering to safety training and protocols on a daily basis, and taking precautionary measure to ensure the safety and well-being of self, others.
Responsible for protecting the confidentiality of any information or material obtained in the service with the organization to include but not limited to client names and information, services rendered to clients, donors names and gifts, internal and external investigations or results of any investigations, and financial information.
Adherence to the Code of Conduct and the Faith and Moral Policy is mandatory.
Every employee is required to take a solution-oriented approach in their interactions and undertakings, as well as being a team member that promotes collaboration and commitment to the Mission and Vision of the organization.
As a Seton Home employee, attendance and successful completion of a 10-day New Employee Orientation is mandated for the position. The inability to meet this requirement will conclude employment with the Agency.
Other duties as assigned by Director, Senior Director or Vice President.
Supervisory Responsibilities- The Lead Clinician is responsible for the direct supervision of Seton Home’s Clinicians. The Lead Clinician ensures that services are provided in accordance with the agency's policies and procedures, TDFPS Minimum Standards, Office of Refugee Resettlement- Division of Unaccompanied Children's Services National Care Standards, and other stakeholders. The Lead Clinician is supervised by Emergency Shelter Program Director.

Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
Education
Master’s degree in social work, 2 years of postgraduate direct service delivery experience;
or Master’s degree or Ph.D. in psychology, sociology, or other relevant behavioral science in which clinical experience is a program requirement, plus 2 years of postgraduate direct service delivery experience;
or bachelor’s degree plus 5 years’ clinical employment experience in the behavioral sciences;
Experience
Supervisory experience required.
License and Credentials
Licensed Professional Counselor-Supervisor or Licensed Clinical Social Worker-Supervisor
Reliable transportation;
Valid driver license;
Valid vehicle insurance;
Submit to a state and federal background check, Child abuse and neglect registry check, and Tuberculosis screening;
Be physically, mentally, and emotionally capable of performing assigned tasks and have the skills necessary to perform essential duties and responsibilities
Able to show proof of immunity to vaccine-preventable diseases transmitted by the respiratory route if working directly with unaccompanied children;
Varicella: two doses of varicella vaccine (at least 4 weeks apart) OR born in the United States before 1980 with a reported history of chickenpox (verified by an adult present at the time of illness) OR titers indicating varicella immunity OR documentation from healthcare provider verifying previous infection.
MMR: two doses of MMR vaccine (at least 4 weeks apart) OR titers indicating immunity to all three diseases
DTaP or TDap: Complete primary vaccination series. If primary vaccination series completed in childhood, one TDaP dose in adulthood.
Influenza: one dose annually during flu season.
COVID-19: Fully vaccinated against COVID-19 (two doses of Pfizer-BioNTech; or two doses of Moderna; or one dose of Janssen), with appropriate boosters if they become necessary. An individual is considered fully vaccinated 2 weeks after their final dose. Additional dose(s): a third vaccine dose for certain groups of people, or booster dose(s) as recommended by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention
Minimum Knowledge and Skills:
Bilingual: Fluent in English/Spanish with regards to reading, writing, speaking, and comprehension of the spoken language.
Extensive working knowledge of TDFPS Minimum Standards, and Office of Refugee Resettlement- Division of Unaccompanied Children's Services National Care Standards;
Possess therapeutic sensitivity to the service population cultural and socio-economic characteristics.
