The Insurance Specialist monitors delinquent accounts, performs collection duties, and resolves insurance payment and billing errors. They also communicate with patients to secure past due balances and maintain accurate account records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of four years of combined medical billing and payment experience. Candidates must demonstrate knowledge of state, federal, and third-party claims processing, as well as proficiency in Microsoft Office.
